Beauty and the Beast

It was bound to happen at some point, we would watch the live-action version of a Disney Classic.  Well, actually it isn’t the first live-action remake that we have seen, we saw “Alice in Wonderland” and “The Jungle Book“.

This time we are sitting down for our #millerbigscreenmovienight to watch the most recent Disney Classic upgrade in the version of “Beauty and the Beast”. The interesting thing here, compared to the other two movies we have seen, this is almost a direct adaptation of the original movie with some minor tweaks and additions, but overall, almost a direct adaptation.

Really though? How does it stack up? At this point, is it worth your rental or your purchase? Is this the next movie that you should get lost in?

Disney’s animated classic takes on a new form, with a widened mythology and an all-star cast. A young prince, imprisoned in the form of a beast, can be freed only by true love. What may be his only opportunity arrives when he meets Belle, the only human girl to ever visit the castle since it was enchanted. ~ IMDb
