Tra-la-laaaa! Seriously, I heard this at least a billion times leading up to the Captain Underpants movie. However this is one of those animated movies that the Small Town Movie Watcher, Kids were looking forward to this summer (this and “Cars 3”), and I am glad that being a small town has its perks – $5 Saturday matinee before noon.
This is one of those few times however that I, the Original (never to be duplicated or emulated) Small Town Movie Watcher, was not able to hit the theater and I had to leave them in the very, I mean VERY, capable hands of Small Town Movie Watcher, Mama – honestly I trust her more going to the movies with the children by themselves over myself going with the children alone.
I don’t know if it’s vacation, or that the children were really into this movie, but this might be the first time that I have to trim their review, because otherwise it was going to be about 20 mins of “Tra-la-las”. So is this enough for you to go and see the “other” superhero movie that had opened this weekend? (obviously THE superhero movie this weekend is “Wonder Woman”) That is up to you.
(the nice thing of Daddy not around and a festival in town, giant ice cream sandwiches)
Two overly imaginative pranksters named George and Harold, hypnotize their principal into thinking he’s a ridiculously enthusiastic, incredibly dimwitted superhero named Captain Underpants. ~ IMDb
